Year 6 Intervention Teacher

Part-time post, immediate start

12 hours per week, Mon-Thurs from 8 am-10.30 am & Fridays 8 am- 10.00 am

Pay scale will be subject to previous experience- POA 

 We require to recruit a part time temporary non-class based intervention teacher who can work with a small group of Year 6 pupils to ensure continued progress is made in English and Maths.

Although a long-term vacancy, this role does not require you to attend parents’ evenings or staff meetings (you are invited should you wish to attend however). You will be responsible for the attainment of your pupils and time will be given to you to monitor it during the week.

Are you an experienced Teacher looking for a non-class based intervention role where you will be able to work with small groups of children and on a one to one basis to ensure sustained progress is made? This would be an ideal role for a supply teacher who enjoys the security and job satisfaction of long term teaching but doesn’t want to commit to a full class teaching role with the additional paper work and responsibility that it requires.

  • can demonstrate significant impact on pupil learning in previous positions;


  • holds QTS and other relevant qualifications;


  • has attained a high level of proficiency in the core professional standards of teaching -  particularly in teaching and learning skills;


  • strongly supports our vision and is highly motivated;

  • would be a positive & enthusiastic role model for our pupils


  • wants to make a positive difference to the lives of children and wants to help them to achieve and develop their spiritual and emotional well-being.


Candidates who do not have QTS but hold a degree and previous experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum, should also apply.
