Al-Noor Primary (VA) is a new 2 form entry, co-educational school which will open in September 2018 in a new, purpose-built school building. It will start off with two year groups: Reception and year one and expand a year group at a time until it is full in September 2023. The school will welcome a diverse intake of pupils and be inclusive of all. It will strive through its distinctive faith ethos (Muslim) to nurture responsible, highly achieving and engaged citizens who are well equipped to play a positive role in Redbridge and beyond.

The school build will be completed in June 2018 when visits will be possible. In the meantime the school is seeking a dynamic, engaging and effective School Business Manager who has a history of effectiveness in meeting statutory requirements and best practise in setting up school administrative systems, managing school finances, managing personnel, leading staff recruitment and vetting, managing pay-roll and managing school Health and Safety.

The ideal candidate:

  • strongly supports our vision, value and faith ethos;
  • has relevant qualifications at level 4 and beyond, as well as at least level 2 in English and Maths, an associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but will consider work experience in lieu of degree;
  • has two or more years experience working in finance and several years experience of customer service and of working in an office environment at a senior level including management or supervision of staff, previous experience of working in schools in an administrative and financial capacity is preferred;
  • has relevant prior experience in managing school finance, including procurement, staff recruitment, staff vetting and Health and Safety;
  • is an effective leader of people and has excellent management skills;
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • can demonstrate significant impact on organisational effectiveness in previous positions;
  • have great leadership skills and are also effective team players;
  • are committed to school improvement and to the development of the school through partnerships with other schools;
  • are committed to safeguarding children and are suitable to work with them;
  • would be positive & enthusiastic role models for our pupils.
