Assunnah School is an Independent Primary Islamic School situated in the heart of Tottenham. This is a unique role, which is central to the experience and development of our teachers. You will work with our teachers and provide exceptional support throughout their QTS or NQT programme. You will ensure they complete the programme, achieve profound pupil impact in their classrooms, and develop into lifelong leaders

Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they:

QTS: Qualified teacher status (PGCE, or equivalent)

NQT: Newly Qualified status

Extensive teaching experience essential

Proven leadership skills, with the ability to hold others to account

Extensive experience in developing classroom practice and supporting and developing trainee teachers

Experience in the required phases for each area

Possess excellent organisational and communication skills

Be committed to inclusive and comprehensive education.

Be willing to adopt the transformational teaching pedagogy.

An inspirational and caring teacher who facilitates children to enjoy their learning

An excellent classroom practitioner

Is a good communicator to all staff

Shares good practice and takes part in school development at all levels

Have the highest expectations for their own development and of staff members

Have an open, positive attitude and value team work

Enjoy new challenges and have a clear vision for raising standards

Is flexible in supporting the school in various areas such as, cover,


Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check, employment references and completion of a medical questionnaire. We welcome applications from all ethnic backgrounds. Applicant must have completed their NQT year and have a comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and experience of the Primary National Curriculum


The successful Experience/qualifications in mentoring/counselling/coaching would be an advantage.
