Al Hikmah Girls’ School is an oversubscribed popular Independent 11-16 Girls’ School based in the heart of Luton, Bury Park. Al Hikmah is a non-selective community based school with a strong team of highly dedicated staff and Management.

The school is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and visionary member of staff for April 2018. The candidate must be enthusiastic and promote student-centred learning. The successful candidate will lead and have an opportunity to make significant contribution to the development of the KS4 Mathematics programme. Though this is a maternity cover position, there is an opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills

• Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations

• Has a clear vision, energy and is motivational

• Is confident using ICT as a classroom tool

• Has knowledge and ideally experience of teaching Mathematics.

• Is up to date with current pedagogy, including AfL and student centred learning

• Is able to embed the school’s islamic ethos into their teaching

• Is able to build on strengths, initiate further improvement and continue to raise standards

We wish to appoint a dynamic and dedicated teacher to Coordinate and teach Mathematics at the KS4 level, which includes Years 9 to Year 11. NQT’s or graduates with teaching experience will be strongly considered for this Post.
