Al Hikmah Girls’ School is an oversubscribed popular Independent 11-16 Girls’ School based in the heart of Luton, Bury Park. Al Hikmah is a non-selective community based school with a strong team of highly dedicated staff and Management.

The school is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and visionary member of staff for September 2019. The candidate must be enthusiastic and promote student-centred learning. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of the KS4 Mathematics programme.

NQT’s or new graduates will be strongly considered for this Post.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

Possess good communication and interpersonal skills

• Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations

• Has a clear vision, energy and is motivational

• Is confident using ICT as a classroom tool

• Has knowledge and ideally experience of teaching Mathematics at the secondary level.

• Is up to date with current pedagogy, including AfL and student centred learning

• Is able to embed the school’s islamic ethos into their teaching

• Is able to build on strengths, initiate further improvement and continue to raise standards
