Figtree Primary School-Head teacher

We are looking for a Head Teacher who will be able to demonstrate the ability to develop a shared vision, which inspires and motivates pupils, staff and all other members of the school community.

The Head Teacher is responsible to the Governing Body of Crescent educational Trust which manages the Fig Tree Primary School. The role is for the leadership, internal organisation, management and control of the school. It will be for him/her to lead our forward looking school to enable the children to achieve and surpass their potential in partnership with the wider Muslim community.

 

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • To work with the governing body to develop a strategic view and further development of the school
  • To secure and sustain effective teaching and learning
  • To lead, manage and develop staff to secure improvement
  • To deploy people and resources efficiently and effectively
  • To be accountable for the efficiency and effectiveness of the school
  • To provide all pupils with a curriculum which meets their individual needs
  • To liase with parents/carers regularly to discuss their child’s learning and development
  • To determine, organise and implement an appropriate curriculum for Fig Tree Primary School

Applicants should have:

  • A valid PGCE and be able to provide the certificate or letter
  • To have more than 5 years teaching experience
  • Experience of successful leadership in education
  • Recent extensive primary teaching experience
  • Knowledge of Islam and understanding the challenges facing Muslim families and community.
  • Understanding of Islamic Education and curriculum
