Al Hikmah Girls’ School is an oversubscribed popular Independent 11-16 Girls’ School based in the heart of Luton, Bury Park. Al Hikmah is a non-selective community based school with a strong team of highly dedicated staff and Management.

The school is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and visionary member of staff for February 2018. The candidate must be enthusiastic and promote student-centred learning. The successful candidate will lead and have an opportunity to make significant contribution to the development of the  KS4 Geography programme. There may be a future opportunity to teach GCSE Geography for the right candidate.


• Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills

• Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations

• Has a clear vision, energy and is motivational

• Is confident using ICT as a classroom tool

• Has knowledge and ideally experience of teaching Geography.

• Is up to date with current pedagogy, including AfL and student centred learning

• Is able to embed the school’s islamic ethos into their teaching

• Is able to build on strengths, initiate further improvement and continue to raise standards

We wish to appoint a dynamic and dedicated teacher to Coordinate and teach Geography at the KS3 level, which includes Years 7 to Year 9. NQT’s or new graduates will be strongly considered for this Post.
