Assunnah Early Years is a registered Early Years centre, which provides a safe and comfortable environment for 2-5 year olds. Option to achieve QTS (Qualified teacher Status) - Funded by the school
(Applicants must have relevant teaching experience - minimum of two years. Option to develop this at the school as well)
Applicants should be qualified as follows:
Must have the Early Years Level 3 Educator Criteria
Must Have a GCSE in Maths and English at grade ‘C’ or above
Work to the six EYFS Criteria as follows
- Support and promote children’s early education and development
- Plan and provide effective care, teaching and learning that enables children to progress and prepares them for school
- Make accurate and productive use of assessment
- Develop effective and informed practice
- Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
- Work in partnership with the key person, colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals
Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they:
Support the aims and ethos of the EYFS setting
Are an inspirational and caring teacher who facilitates children to enjoy their learning
Are an excellent EYFS practitioner
Assist in the educational and social development of children under the direction and guidance of the Management Team.
Create and develop Individual Education Programmes for key children and help monitor their progress within the 7 areas of learning using the 17 learning goals
Lead and initiate activities and tasks planned with support staff (Teaching assistant, Quran
teachers, and Arabic Teacher)
Are a good communicator to all staff
Shares good practice and takes part in EYFS centre development at all levels
Have the highest expectations for their own learning and of children
Have an open, positive attitude and value team work
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check, employment references and completion of a medical questionnaire. We welcome applications from all ethnic backgrounds. Non QTS Applicants can apply, though applicants should have teaching, planning, and assessment experience.
