CLASSROOM TEACHER (ENGLISH – KS3 and KS4)

 Azhar Academy Girls School is an Islamic secondary girls school founded by the Azhar Academy Trust. It is a vibrant and pleasant school, with a strong Islamic ethos. In the heart of East London (Forest Gate), we serve a diverse community and we pride ourselves in providing our pupils with a broad and stimulating curriculum and a rich and memorable educational experience.

We are seeking to recruit a teacher to work within our English department. Part time/Full time opportunity is available. This position is open to all candidates who are looking for an opportunity to develop professional knowledge, skills and abilities including those necessary for career development.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • The ability to deliver constant outstanding English lessons that involve the pupils of all abilities.
  • Be able to design and teach English in a unique and stimulating lesson, to encourage each pupil's academic growth.
  • Be a passionate teacher of English, and show a hard work ethos that will motivate pupils as well as other teachers.

The school is open to applications from NQTs, provided they can commit long-term to the school.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. The post will subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring services and checks against the ISA barred list for children.

 Start: September 2017

Salary: Depending on qualifications and experience

School visits: Welcomed by prior appointment
