FULL TIME MATERNITY COVER after Easter Holidays from, Monday 16th April 2018.

+1 weeks trial from Monday 26th March 2018 - Thursday 29th March 2018. 



To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Headteacher to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school.


Under the direction of the Headteacher, and Line Manager Administration will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day organisation and maintenance of the school office and its procedures. This will include:

  • preparing, producing, copying and distributing letters, reports, newsletter, etc;
  • arranging appointments and maintaining diaries;
  • receiving and handling telephone queries, dealing with queries and providing general information about the school;
  • acting as a first point of contact for visitors and creating a pleasant reception area;
  • maintaining pupil and staff records and completing of returns to the LEA, DfES and others, as appropriate;
  • help in compiling documents, including the School Development Plan etc;
  • providing statistics from a range of records as required for the Headteacher, governing body, LEA, DfES etc.;
  • completing weekly & termly attendance figures in class registers;
  • handling petty cash, recording expenses and making orders for resources for the school.
  • completion of tasks given from your designated line manager.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • good spoken and written communication skills
  • a confident telephone manner
  • an organised and methodical approach to work
  • excellent administrative skills
  • computer skills including use of word, spreadsheet and presentation software
  • the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
  • confidence in handling cash and working with figures
  • the ability to work well with pupils, teachers and parents/guardians
  • respect for confidential information
  • a patient and flexible attitude
  • the ability to work as part of a team and also on his/her own initiative
